Dev Log: Progress Update for November
TGS Tech Development Log: Current Progress on Apex Engine
Account Management System (AMS) and User Access Control
We would like to share this month's updates on the development of our Account Management System (AMS) and User Access Control (UAC) for Apex Engine. The foundational work for these systems has been completed, enabling us to move forward with the development of customizable groups and permissions. These new features will support both group and user accounts, allowing for tailored access management and robust user control.
Our core database schemas for AMS have been finalized, setting a solid groundwork for future enhancements. We look forward to receiving client feedback next year during the early access phase, which will help us expand customization options and fine-tune these capabilities. Soon, we’ll be sharing more details on what clients can expect in terms of account types, group management functionalities, and customizable permissions per group.
Database Setup and Engine Schemas
Another critical focus has been setting up databases and schemas for various components of the engine. Establishing these structures early is essential for ensuring that Apex Engine is built efficiently with the basic functionality needed for both Apex Engine Lite and Apex Engine Cloud. By testing and exploring all available database options and configurations at this stage, we are creating a strong foundation that will support faster, more modular development and seamless updates as we continue to expand Apex Engine’s feature set.
This groundwork allows us to integrate new features more smoothly, ensuring that future development is adaptable and aligned with our clients’ evolving needs.
Research and Development on Database Solutions
Our research and development have extended to exploring the types of databases that will be integrated into Apex Engine. To cater to a diverse range of client needs, we will offer cost-effective solutions for small to medium-sized businesses, ensuring that they have access to reliable and scalable database options without significant financial strain. Additionally, for our enterprise-level customers, we will provide an Oracle database option, allowing them to utilize Oracle’s extensive capabilities for enhanced performance and customization. This approach underscores our commitment to offering flexible and comprehensive solutions that align with the unique demands of different projects.
Security Audits and Continuous Development
While designing and developing Apex Engine, we prioritize security. To this end, we will conduct quarterly security audits and updates throughout the development process. These audits are an essential early step to guarantee that our clients and customers have a reliable and secure platform. Implementing regular security assessments helps us identify potential vulnerabilities early, ensuring a safer and more robust environment. This commitment to proactive security measures allows for faster, more reliable updates and builds trust with our user base by ensuring long-term platform stability.
By maintaining this vigilant approach to security, we ensure that Apex Engine not only meets but exceeds industry standards, offering a dependable, future-proof solution for all our clients.
Looking Ahead: Vector Databases for AI Assist Integrations
As we move into December and into 2025, we will begin researching and testing vector databases for our AI Assist integrations. This is a critical step for enhancing model training, retraining updates, and ensuring speed and efficiency, all while keeping overhead costs and development time low. This effort will provide our clients with improved performance and seamless updates, strengthening the capabilities of Apex Engine’s AI-driven tools.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to enhance Apex Engine’s capabilities and strengthen its development foundation!
